The blood test is usually to test the best way, the herpes infection. HSV1 and HSV2 are the two tests are available.

Sorry, no such thing as "severe" or "not serious" herpes. I have herpes and never symptoms. This does not mean that it can infect another person. The only way you can know for sure is to go for a blood test. Standard tests include tests for sexual transmission of genital herpes, you should specifically ask. 1 to 5 people genital herpes and 80% of people who have herpes. 90% of people with herpes do not know they have it. Herpes is not spread through bodily fluids, but is transmitted by skin contact.
